Well mine was like twenty years ago, when I was with my first real job after uni. During my years in uni far up north, I never had the chance to take a flight, could not afford the cost at that time. I used to take the train and mind you I had to take the non-airconditioned coach. Imagine travelling almost 12 hours from the southern end of the Peninsular to the most northern part of the Peninsular..by the time I reached The Pearl Island, my face was already full of dust. Hmmm..those were the days, those things that made me who I am today.
Back to my first flight..my first ever destination was to Kota Bharu, Kelantan and my assignment was to stay for one month, to start off the organization of our new team there. I had to go there alone, and to check in a hotel all by myself, and the next day I had to go to the new office, to introduce myself and to start the ball rolling. Wow that was quite a deal for someone so new and fresh..
I didnt even know how to get myself into the plane, but I have heard people mentioning the word check-in, so that should be okay I guess. The first thing I did was to make sure I arrived at the airport early. Then I looked around and searched for signages. Next I was already checking-in, I was the first one to do so for the flight..a little funny I guess. Then I walked slowly and looked for my departure lounge. Everything went well. The key word is, when you dont know and are not sure of anything, do it systematically, follow the instruction and procedure, and you are going to be fine.
